  • You can currently learn English, Spanish, German, French and Italian. The next languages we add will be Dutch, Portuguese and Polish. And after that Greek, Korean and Japanese. Let us know what language you want to see!

  • Lenguia makes heavy use of AI models. All actions, from translations, to story generations, article simplifications, flashcards and audio files cost us real money. We're exploring the idea of having a free tier or trial phase in the future though.

  • Lenguia might be overwhelming if you are a complete beginner in a language as there is no system yet to teach you from absolute zero. Once you have a base vocabulary of about 500 words you will be able to make great use of the tool and from there it only gets better until you are at least C1 level.

  • The subscription gives you access to all languages at once and you can switch back and forth between them however you like.

  • Yes, we use various mechanisms, to guide the AI towards better results. To start, we defined a total of 83 narrative structures and 25 tones that get stochastically selected depending on the story topic. Another big difference is that the context-based spaced repetition system creates tailor made stories. Your flashcards and other new words you should review automatically get placed inside the stories.

  • Lenguia doesn't just translate websites word for word, it rewrites the whole content to match your language level and integrates your flashcards just like the stories do. You also get to click on words inside the text to get definitions, translations, facts about the word and can add it as a flashcard with one click including an image, example sentence and pronunciation example.

  • Currently Lenguia is only available in the browser. This will most likely change in the future and we will develop mobile apps for iOS and Android. That being said it is completely mobile optimised and works great on the browser of your phone.
